October 2015 – Idea developed by Sandra Stewart, Janet Tareilo, and Mark Reid to form an organization for Associate Deans and others who work in Associate Dean-like roles.

January 2016 – First meeting held at Navarro College in Corsicana, TX. At this meeting, attendees appointed Sandra and Mark to co-chair the group; all others in attendance agreed to serve as the board of directors.

July 2016 – 2nd meeting held at Sam Houston State University.

January 2017 – 3rd meeting held at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

July 2017 – 1st eLevate Leadership Academy & 4th meeting held at Stephen F. Austin University.

January 2018 – 5th meeting at Texas State University; developed by-laws and elected first slate of officers.

June 2018 - 2nd eLevate Leadership Academy & 6th meeting held at Texas Woman's University.

September 2018 - CSOTTE Board approved ADoT as a new state organization in the Consortium of State Organizations of Texas Teacher Education.

October 2018 - 1st official meeting at CSOTTE.
